Community Support TeamsCommunity Support (CST) Teams provide supports and services to people with developmental disabilities who need intensive treatment intervention allowing them to remain in their community living setting.
These teams provide initial and ongoing assessment, psychiatric services, family support and education, support coordination and any other services critical to an individual's ability to live successfully in the community.
CST teams, consisting of psychologists, social workers, nurses and psychiatrists, provide supports and services on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis.
CST Team supports and services are provided in the community rather than in an office-based practice and combine skill teaching with clinical management.
There are nine (9) CST Teams located in various regions throughout the state; and all are managed through the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilties. Services of those community support teams are accessed through regional offices.
