Medicaid administers several programs that provide various specialized health care coverage services for women's health.

I'm pregnant and I need health care coverage.
  • LaMOMS, which offers no-cost health coverage to pregnant women for all prenatal and delivery care. Learn more.
  • LaHIPP, in which Medicaid will pay all or part of your private health insurance premium, if you are an expectant mother who has access to health insurance coverage. Learn more.

 

I have no health insurance, and I want family planning services to avoid an unplanned pregnancy.
  • TAKE CHARGE, which offers no-cost health coverage to Louisiana women ages 19-44 who don't have health insurance, earn below 200 percent of federal poverty level and need access to family planning services. Learn more.

I have no health insurance, and I've been diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer OR a pre-cancerous condition, and I need treatment.
  • Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, operated through the LSU Health Sciences Center Women's Preventive Health Program, in which Medicaid provides no-cost health coverage for treatment. Find out if you qualify by calling toll-free 1.888.599.1073. Learn more.
