Medicaid Long-Term Care ServicesLouisiana's Medicaid Program provides payment for special long-term care support services, as well as full Medicaid health coverage, to eligible people who, because of their medical conditions, require assistance with activities of daily living (for example, eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring). Louisiana's Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), or waiver, programs include:

Individuals who are Medicaid eligible can now receive Personal Care Services in their homes even without being in one of the waiver service programs. Contact the DHH Office of Aging & Adult Services to inquire about these services.
