Louisiana Behavioral Health Partnership Implementation

The DHH Office of Behavioral Health and Bureau of Health Services Financing (BHSF)/Medicaid Vendor Administration (MVA) are collaborating to restructure behavioral health services in Louisiana.  

Through better coordination of services, the Louisiana Behavioral Health Partnership will:

• Enhance the consumer experience;
• Increase access to a more complete and effective array of behavioral health services and supports;
• Improve quality of care and outcomes; and
• Reduce repeat ER visits, hospitalizations, out-of-home placements and institutionalizations.
